Who’s Talking About Basic Income?

What is Universal Basic Income?

In universal basic income, all citizens of a given population receive a legally stipulated and equally set financial grant paid by the government without regard to their means. As part of this social policy, the Government ensures a minimum level of income for every citizen and provides them with a basic income. It is possible to implement a basic income on a national, regional, or local level. When the level meets a person’s basic needs (at or above the poverty line), it is called a full basic income; if it is less than that amount, it is called a partial basic income.
